A body has been found in the search for missing Irvine man Evan Reid.
The 31-year-old's family have been made aware, but a formal identification has yet to take place.
Evan went missing 16 days ago after last being spotted in Paisley after departing a train at Paisley Gilmour Street.
Numerous searches have taken place since then with family and friends frantically searching for him.
Police have confirmed there appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the body found.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "The body of a man was found in the White Cart Water near Arran Avenue in Paisley around 9.55am on Monday, April 10.
"He is still to be formally identified but the family of Evan Reid, 31, who had been reported missing on Friday, March 25 have been made aware.
"There are no apparent suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
