A body has been found in the search for a missing Scots whose disappearance sparked a major search.
Cops issued an urgent appeal following the disappearance of Paisley man David McGarrigle.
He was last seen in the town's Dalskeith Crescent at around 7.45am on Sunday 6 February, wearing 'hiking boots'.
Police Scotland have now confirmed the body of a man has been found in the search for the 60-year-old.
Formal identification is yet to take place but David’s family have been informed.
There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Locals reported a police cordon in the St James' Park area of the town, as well as police sniffer dogs.
Residents also said they had heard helicopters circling the area on Sunday night.
