Body camera footage of the encounter between Altoona Police Department members and shooting suspect Luigi Mangione exists, as confirmed by Altoona Deputy Chief of Police Derek Swope.

During a press briefing on Tuesday, Swope informed reporters that there is indeed bodycam video of the incident. However, he also mentioned that the footage will not be released to the public at this time.

The suspect, Luigi Mangione, was apprehended at a McDonald's in Altoona on Monday. Mangione is believed to be involved in the shooting of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
