Boston Celtics beat writer emeritus Bob Ryan has seen a lot of Celtics basketball in his days working the sidelines up to the present, and his recent admission of his favorite Boston backcourt of all time might raise a few eyebrows. But the man knows Celtics basketball like very few others do, and when he makes such a pronouncement, we ought to listen.
And he did exactly that on a recent episode with the eponymous cohosts of the CLNS Media “Bob Ryan, Jeff Goodman, and Gary Tanguay!” podcast, sharing who most impressed him in the storied history of this ball club’s guard rotations. Hint — it wasn’t Bob Cousy and Bill Sharman.
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear what he had to say.
