Bo Nix responds to Sean Payton’s comments with perfect Ferris Bueller video

In the third quarter of Sunday’s game against the Las Vegas Raiders, Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix was captured by Fox cameras having a heated exchange with coach Sean Payton on the sideline.

After the game, Payton explained that Nix had flipped a play that the coach did not want to be flipped, and they discussed it on the sideline after the play. Payton said Nix has “a little bit of Ferris Bueller” in him.

Payton, of course, was referencing “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off,” a 1986 comedy starring Matthew Broderick.

“Ferris is kind of quirky and doing his own thing once in a while,” Payton said. “Did you watch the movie? Have you ever seen it? He still has some Ferris Bueller in him. He’s got some. Not mischievous, maybe a little bit kind of subtly.”

Two days later, Nix had a perfect reaction to Payton’s comments. The 24-year-old quarterback shared a highlight video on his Instagram page featuring a clip of Ferris Bueller and a caption featuring an iconic line from the movie: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.”

Check it out:

Nix helped the Broncos beat the Raiders by a score of 34-18 with a 70.4% completion rate, 206 passing yards, two touchdown passes, one touchdown run and no turnovers. Perhaps having some Ferris Bueller in him isn’t a bad thing.
