US Rep. Nancy Pelosi disclosed in a 21st August periodic transaction report that her husband, Paul Pelosi, purchased 15,000 shares of Bloom Energy and 200 call options with a strike price of $100 and a 17th June 2027 expiry across multiple trades in July.
Weeks later, the Bloom Energy stock surged by over 9% on Tuesday after the S&P Dow Jones Indices announced that the fuel-cell power company will join the S&P 500. The stock will join the index, along with Illumina and Everpure, before markets open on 21st September. The changes, part of S&P's quarterly rebalancing, are meant to ensure that each index better reflects its market-capitalization range.
