‘Blessed’ mum who got pregnant aged 48 and 49 slams trolls who call her ‘crazy’

A woman has shared her joy at becoming pregnant at 48 and 49 - blasting trolls who brand her “crazy”. Instead, the doting mum says she is “blessed” to have given birth to her youngest child while going through the menopause.

The proud parent revealed her story on her TikTok as @EmMoments in an emotional video recapping her family’s journey. “Pregnant at age 48 and 49. I’m not crazy. Just extremely blessed! And tired! I’m really really tired,” wrote Em, now 51, as she shared pictures of her two little bundles of joy.

The busy mum uses the app to document her little ones’ journeys alongside that of her older teenage son, 19, who has made “best friends for life” in her younger children. And while it isn’t always smooth sailing when the mum finds herself “exhausted” and “out of energy” - a struggle all parents know only too well - she couldn’t be happier.

In one adorable video, Em can be seen giggling with her youngest, while an onscreen caption reads: “Giving birth during menopause was the best thing that ever happened to me! Miracles do happen!”

And fellow parents were quick to congratulate Em and her beautiful family. One person wrote: “I’m 52, I can’t imagine going through that again, but I’m loving being a grandma for sure! Good luck, cute baby.”

Another said: “Congratulations!!! My mom was 42 and my dad 52. When they had twins. Both lived long healthy lives. Seen all their grandkids grow also.”

“I’m 43 and I would love to remarry and have one more. This is just a sign for me that it’s absolutely possible. Happy for you,” wrote a third.

And a fellow mum added: “I’m also 51 and my babies are grown up. I miss those days of them being little, time goes way too fast! You truly are blessed, what a miracle!!!”
