Damian Lillard's blockbuster trade to the Bucks created huge waves throughout the NBA, with the three-team deal affecting several other players, including center Robert Williams. After Jrue Holiday was sent to Portland in the trade, the Blazers then sent him to the Celtics in exchange for Williams, Malcolm Brogdon, and several draft picks.
It didn’t take long for the big man to be blown away by one of his new teammates. When talking to the media on Wednesday, Williams had a hilarious three-word description of rookie Scoot Henderson, who's expected to replace Lillard.
“That mother------’s fast.” Williams said, according to Sean Highkin of The Rose Garden Report.
Henderson was considered one of the top prospects in the country coming out of high school in 2021 but went off the beaten path and opted to sign with the NBA’s G League instead of going to college.
The point guard signed a two-year deal with the Ignite and was selected with the No. 3 pick in the 2023 NBA draft by the Blazers after averaging 16.5 points, 6.8 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game last season.
