Jharkhand: Three injured in gas pipeline blast of Tata Steel in Jamshedpur

JAMSHEDPUR: Three contractual employees sustained injuries, following an explosion in the inoperational gas line at battery number 6 of coke plant in Tata Steel on Saturday.

The mishap occurred with a loud explosion causing fire in the gas pipeline, driving panic-stricken workers to run away from the spot in haste. While running, two workers, Narsingh Murmu, and Sahit Kumar, received injuries when they came in contact with an iron plate that disintegrated after the explosion. Another worker, Hari Prasad Sen, who also ran in panic complained of uneasiness and chest pain.
