The National Transportation Safety Board has successfully recovered the black box voice recorder from the Black Hawk helicopter that crashed recently. According to NTSB Member Todd Inman, the black box shows no signs of exterior damage, which is a positive development in the investigation.
The Sikorsky helicopter involved in the incident was equipped with a combined cockpit voice recorder and digital flight data recorder. Inman confirmed that the NTSB team has retrieved the Sikorsky black box, which will provide crucial information about the moments leading up to the crash.
