An experimental mRNA cancer immunotherapy from BioNTech did not significantly delay cancer growth in patients with HPV16-positive head and neck cancer that had spread or returned, the company said Tuesday, Oct. 13. The drug, called BNT113, was tested with Merck's immunotherapy Keytruda (pembrolizumab) against Keytruda alone, BioPharma Dive reported.
The results are topline findings from the trial's first analysis. BioNTech has not released detailed data, and the results have not been peer-reviewed or presented at a medical meeting.
