Defiant Billy Gilmour admits there's nothing he can do about the section of the Norwich support who singled him out earlier in the season.
But the Scotland star is out to prove the boo boys wrong now and help the Canaries stay up now he's back fighting fit.
The 20-year-old has had a frustrating time on loan at Carrow Road so far. He failed to impress former manager Daniel Farke, and was later unfairly blasted by a frustrated home support - with some fans even telling him to "f*** off back to Chelsea."
Gilmour persevered through it and won the faith of new boss Dean Smith - only for injury to rear its head in the new year and keep him out for a month.
But he made his return to the pitch against Crystal Palace and last night made his first start in the 4-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday evening.
His return comes as a relief to Steve Clarke who is preparing for a massive March for Scotland where we stand two wins away from World Cup qualification.
It's also a boost for Norwich who remain rooted in the Premier League relegation zone - though only one point from safety after improving under new boss Smith.
Responding to the boo boys, Gilmour said: "Of course it is never nice to hear criticism, but that is part of the game and it is about opinions.
“I know what I am here to do. I know how good a player I am and that is what I want show the fans here, show my team-mates and show my staff here.
“So that is why I am at Norwich City. It is a tough test for me and I want to make sure that by the end of the season we have stayed in the league and we have a had a good season – especially for myself.”
