Bill Belichick was shut out of this spring’s head coaching carousel, but the legendary head coach is already looking toward 2025 and has the potential to replace some big names.
ESPN’s trio of Don Van Natta Jr., Seth Wickersham, and Jeremy Fowler previously broke down Belichick’s inability to land a coaching job in 2024 while outlining his goals for the future. The old-school coach won’t have many options, but he’d be interested in three NFC East teams if a vacancy developed.
During Wednesday’s episode of the Pat McAfee Show, the future Hall of Fame head coach discussed the Eagles Week 1 matchup with Green Bay when he referenced the fan base.
For Belichick, it’s all love in his mind.

Belichick joked that Philly fans hated him after the Eagles lost to New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX (24-21). That love returned after the Eagles beat the Patriots in Super Bowl LII (41-33).
