The Tennessee Titans rebuilt their roster heading into 2024 and already demonstrated they have built a stout defense. Now, they need their offense to develop.
While formulating their roster, the Titans made it clear that they were building around second-year quarterback Will Levis in the offseason, adding weapons to the skill positions and fortifying the front line.
This plan is sound, but it puts a ton of pressure on Levis. On Sunday, he clearly buckled under that pressure and was called out by one of the NFL greats.
Bill Belichick appeared on the “Pat McAfee Show” on Monday and touched on the young signal caller, stating, “There’s no upside to the play that Levis made yesterday.”
He was right. That play sealed the Titans’ fate in the loss and gave the Chicago Bears a lead they would never relinquish.

“The biggest thing for the quarterback is decision-making,” Belichick said, encapsulating the downfall.
The offense line struggled against the Bears front, but Levis made throws and decisions under pressure that cost the Titans a victory. For the Titans to win, Levis must show up and play better. If he doesn’t, it’s going to be a long season.
Levis and the Titans will be back in action Sunday when they take on the New York Jets in Week 2.
