New England Patriots offensive tackle Trent Brown is dealing with “flu-like” symptoms ahead of Sunday’s season finale against the New York Jets.
Brown has played in 11 games this season and started in eight of them. He has had his troubles getting on the field, and early signs are that he might not be returning to New England in 2024.
Brown is set to be a free agent at the end of the season.
He has had an up and down season for New England this year. His absence has been noted in the team’s injury report throughout the entire week of practice, and he has already been ruled out for Sunday’s game.

There’s a possibility Brown might have played his final snap with the Patriots. It would be a disappointing end to what has, at times, looked like a promising pairing.
