GAYA: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jawans recovered two cartridges and a magazine of 7.65 mm from the possession of a youth during immigration check at Gaya airport on Sunday. The youth has been identified as Amit Kumar of Jujharupur village under the Goh police station area in Aurangabad district. He was going to Kolkata with three other youths of Gaya town.
The CISF jawans informed the matter at Magadh Medical police station. Cops from Magadh Medical police station arrived at the airport and arrested the youth.
Medical PS SHO Shailesh Kumar Singh said, "During an inquiry, the youth said that he had attended a wedding ceremony in the family where someone had done celebratory firing. After returning from the wedding ceremony, he carried the same travel bag for his journey to Kolkata. He is unaware about cartridges and the magazine found in his travel bag.” The SHO added, “During police verification at the native place of the arrested youth, no criminal record has been found. Yet, he has been forwarded to Gaya central jail.” The arrested youth and other three youths going to Kolkata are involved in sale-purchase business and repair of mobile phones.
