The Philadelphia Eagles received some positive injury news ahead of Thursday night’s showdown against the Washington Commanders. The Eagles announced they had activated left tackle Jordan Mailata from the reserve/injured list.
Mailata missed the last four games with a hamstring injury and was placed on short-term injured reserve. Fred Johnson filled in for Mailata during his absence, and the Eagles won every game.
Mailata was complimentary of his replacement this week.
Jordan Mailata on Fred Johnson: “Fred did an amazing job. …I was texting him money bags. I was texting him money bags after the game. I was like, you’re loading the bank right now. I’m excited for Fred.”

Mailata’s return would mean Philadelphia would have all 11 offensive starters back for the game that determines first place in the NFC East.
Mailata is one of the NFC’s better left tackles, which means Philadelphia’s potent running game will be at full strength upon his return.
