BGT's Amanda Holden slams Ofcom complaints: 'People have too much time on their hands'

Britain's Got Talent judge Amanda Holden said people have 'too much time on their hands' as she responded to her Ofcom complaints.

Over the years, Britain's Got Talent has been hit with Ofcom complaints from viewers horrified to see the 52-year-old flash a bit of flesh in her eye-catching outfits.

The complaints have never bothered the star as she continued to show up on the judges' panel in gorgeous show-stopping ensembles.

With BGT back on our screens this week, Amanda joked about the Ofcom complaints the show received over her looks.

Speaking at the Britain's Got Talent Q&A ahead of the show's premiere, the star quipped: "It's like the problem is everyone talking about my t*ts while these two all the time... (Bruno and Simon Cowell ).

"[Simon's] shirt's always undone and [Bruno's] stripping off. No Ofcom complaints about me this year, please."

New judge Bruno Tonioli was gobsmacked at the idea of Amanda receiving complaints.

He said: "If you got it flaunt it and you girls [Amanda and Alesha Dixon ] got it. I don't understand this complaining, what is the problem?"

Amanda replied: "It's nothing, people have too much time on their hands."

In 2017, her £11,000 black sequinned gown – slashed at the waist to show off her cleavage and dipped low at her back – saw her receive 633 Ofcom complaints.

"That dress was hysterical – it was Julien Macdonald," she told OK! previously. "I had bits of fish wire underneath my breasts trying to hold that together.

"But, look, I'm from a small-chest family, plus you know I'm 48-years-old. It's all quite laughable, but all everyone seems to talk about."

She added: "It's been called another national crisis – but, oh no, I will not be covered up."

At the time, furious fans took to Twitter to lash out at her outfit, with one scandalised viewer writing: "So Amanda is effectively topless on Britain's Got Talent."

While another fumed: "What the hell is Amanda wearing on BGT, totally NOT suitable."

A few years later Amanda stepped out in a lace dress with a spider web covering one of her breasts.

Another of Amanda's amazing outfits saw her rock a plunging sparkly black leotard and a sheer skirt.

She told The Sun: "My t*ts seem to become the show's biggest talking point every year.

"Will people be complaining to Ofcom? I hope so, I really do. I haven't done my job if they aren't."

Britain’s Got Talent launches on Saturday 15th April, 20:00 and continues on Sunday 16th April, 19:45 on ITV1 and ITVX.
