BGT judge Bruno Tonioli promises to show off his pecs 'in solidarity with' Amanda Holden

Britain’s Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli has pledged to show off his pecs for the live finals “in solidarity with” Amanda Holden.

In 2017, Amanda, 52, broke Ofcom records, earning 663 complaints from viewers for one of her revealing dresses.

But Bruno, 67, said he will follow suit and go for a shirt “unbuttoned to the navel”, while hitting out at those who criticised Amanda’s style.

He said: “Why should you complain because a beautiful woman wears a sexy dress? I don’t see anything offensive. We are going back 50 years. What’s going on? It’s absolute nonsense.”

Speaking also of fellow judge Alesha Dixon, Bruno added: “Those girls will dazzle you. They’ll keep it secret until the last moment and then they come out and I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I look like a scrubber next to you!’”

Bruno is also full of praise for Strictly dancer Amy Dowden amid her breast cancer battler.

He said: “She’s strong, she’s a fighter and she will conquer this and she will keep on dancing.”

Bruno revealed former colleague Len Goodman’s death last month has made him appreciate life, which is “not guaranteed”.

And he paid tribute to Tina Turner, with whom he also worked, adding: “She was not a snowflake. And no bulls***. So normal and then you turn the performance on and she blows your mind.”

The Britain’s Got Talent 2023 live shows will start on ITV1 and ITVX on Monday night at 8pm.
