The Indian housing market is sending a strong message about changing investor behaviour. Despite housing sales volumes remaining largely flat, the value of homes sold across the top 75 cities surged 16% to nearly ₹9.33 lakh crore in FY26, indicating that buyers are spending more on premium and luxury properties.
The trend comes at a time when equity markets have witnessed bouts of volatility, prompting wealthy investors to reassess their asset allocation strategies.
