Beyonce has released the first single from her much-anticipated album Renaissance and fans are divided.
The single, Break My Soul, is listed as the sixth track on her upcoming album and follows the announcement last week she would soon be releasing her seventh solo studio album.
Beyonce, 40, last released a studio album in 2016 - the smash hit Lemonade.
In Break My Soul, the former Destiny's Child star says: "Bey is back and I’m sleeping real good at night."
The upbeat dance track was released on Tidal, the streaming platform which her husband Jay-Z has previously owned stakes in.
Fans, known as BeyHive, have been sharing their reaction to the single on social media, with some branding the song a "summer anthem", but not all of them are happy.
Some fans have taken to social media to share their disappointment in the single, saying Beyonce seems to have 'copied' Azealia Banks.
One person Tweeted: "That Beyoncé song… an Azealia Banks outtake. She sounds so uninspired."
Another said: "The song sounds like a vapid, dumbed-down, off-brand, copy of something Azealia Banks would have done better. Beyoncé should have brought Banks on to rap a few verses."
A third person wrote: "I heard it and thought of azealia banks too.. beyonce should stop stealing from the real queen," whilst another fan said: "Beyonce new song sounds like a wannabe version of that Azealia banks song."
Other fans have been praising Beyoncé for her latest tune.
One person said: "Beyoncé gave us an anti-capitalist, pro-gay summer anthem with vocals, rapping, a choir call and response, and FREEDIA. We really won."
Another Tweeted: "Isn't it crazy how Beyoncé makes us feel better just by dropping a BOP? Girl I can't even explain how much I've missed her the past few years. It just feels so good to hear her voice again."
While a third chimed: "Beyoncé's Break My Soul is for the gays and girls!! she really gave us THE summer anthem," whilst a fourth wrote: "It’s a beyhive summer."
Break My Soul is also available to stream in places such as Apple Music, which showed a track listing for Renaissance as featuring 16 songs in total.
Big Freedia, who features on the song, Tweeted: "It feels surreal to be on the track with the Queen Beyonce once again I’m so honored to be apart of this special moment I’m forever grateful lord…someone please catch me… #beyonce #bigfreedia #BreakMySoul."
Beyonce, who has had three number one albums and five number one singles in the UK, also updated her Instagram bio to read: "6. BREAK MY SOUL out now," following the release.
