Brits looking to get the most out of their money on holidays may want to bookmark a trip to Milan, as the Italian city has just been named the best value destination for flights in 2022.
New research by Skyscanner has looked at the destinations where Brits can get the best bang for their buck this year, with hotspots in the likes of France, Portugal, Thailand and Turkey also making the cut.
The flights price comparison site unveiled the top 10 based on the places that have seen the biggest price drops since pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
Milan was by far one the best value in the rankings, with an average price drop of 63% compared to 2019.

Milan has something for everyone; fashionistas will find heaps of boutiques and big brands catering to all budgets, foodies can sample some of that world-famous Italian cuisine, and culture fans won't be disappointed courtesy of the art galleries and incredible Duomo Cathedral to explore.

When we took a look on Skyscanner we could find return fares under £25pp in July and August, but even June had cheap returns with prices from £74. Airlines including easyJet, Ryanair and British Airways all offer direct flights to Milan airports from the UK.
Milan wasn't the only destination to make the top 10 list (you can see the full rankings below). Rome also featured, taking joint third place with Toronto, with both cities having seen an average price drop of 47% compared to 2019.
There's good news for Brits planning Turkey holidays too as Dalaman saw an average price drop of 34%. The region is home to bustling Marmaris which is known for its brilliant beaches and budget-friendly hotels - not to mention it was recently named one of the best value holidays for Brits based on costs including meals out and drinks.
