Sony’s newest console has been out for a while now and despite them being harder to source than medication from Martin Shkreli, there have been some amazing PS5 games released so far. Sony has been dropping a PS5 game here, a PS5 game there at a regular cadence since launch. Good games at that. We’ve already had to update this list to add things like Gran Turismo 7 and Horizon Forbidden West.
So let’s look back and pick out the best games for PS5. But let’s go over some ground rules before we dive in. First off, this list will favor PS5 exclusives. If the game is only available on PS5, it has more chance of getting in than if you were able to play it on other consoles and PC (only if it’s actually good, of course). If the game is out on PS4 and PS5, that also counts as an exclusive in our book – after all, PS5 is still the best place to play cross-generation games. We’ve also included some games that launched last-gen and got upgraded for PS5. Let’s get to it.
