Facing a difficult matchup against the then 3-0 Pittsburgh Steelers, the Indianapolis Colts came away a big win in Week 4 to improve to 2-2 on the season.
Heading into the game, the Colts were dealing with injuries not having Kwity Paye, Ryan Kelly, or Kenny Moore, and then during the game, Anthony Richardson and Jonathan Taylor would both exit with injuries they suffered.
However, a fast start sparked by Richardson and Michael Pittman in the downfield passing game, along with Taylor in the run game allowed the Colts to jump out to a 14-0.
Off the bench and with the help of Taylor as well as Josh Downs in the passing game, Joe Flacco would put together a fairly efficient performance where he took care of the football, and helped orchestrate some critical scoring drives late.
Although the Colts defense began to leak a little oil in the second half, another strong performance from the run defense, along with two key takeaways and a big fourth-quarter stop, helped them secure the win.
Up next for the Colts is a divisional matchup with the Jaguars, but before we turn our focus to Week 5, let’s take a look at this past Sunday’s win with some of the game’s best photos:
