A mattress is a major investment, but you shouldn't have to drop thousands of dollars to get a good night's sleep. When you take advantage of the Nectar mattress deals, you don't have to. As we get closer to Black Friday, I'm starting to see deep discounts across the Nectar site. I've found plush memory foam models and high-tech hybrids selling for just 50% of their MSRP. Plus, when you spend $1,000 at Nectar, you'll get an extra $100 off.
Before I specialized as H&G's sleep writer, I was a price tracker. I spent my days crawling the sites of the major mattress retailers, watching the prices go up and down. I learned how to shop the mattress sales to save the most money on the best beds, so I'm perfectly placed to bring you my edit of today's best Nectar deals.
These days, I lead a team of expert testers to find the world's best mattress. For the sake of a fair fight, we assess each mattress against the same criteria: pressure relief; thermoregulation; motion isolation; and edge support. Over the years, we've tried and tested two Nectar mattresses, both of which got top marks for pressure relief and motion isolation. Still, certain mattress types are better suited to particular sleepers. I'm here to help you decide which Nectar mattress is best for you and how to get it at the lowest possible price with early Black Friday mattress deals.

Below, you'll find my ultimate guide to shopping at Nectar. I've listed all the live deals and spotlighted two of my favorite discounted mattresses, each of which is ranked and reviewed by an H&G expert. I've also outlined information about the best time to buy a Nectar mattress, drawing on my experience as a shopping writer.
Live Nectar deals
My favorite Nectar mattresses
For breadth of choice and depth of discount, Nectar is one of the best places to buy a mattress on a budget. Whether you buy a memory foam model or a hybrid mattress, you're covered with a lifetime mattress warranty and a 365-night mattress sleep trial.
As you scroll the Nectar site, you'll find thousands of verified customer reviews beneath each product listing to give a better picture of what it might be like to sleep on that mattress. If you like the look of a Nectar mattress, you could always shop their bed frames, though I'd steer clear of their branded bedding – you can find much better in the bedding sales.
Sizes: Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, California King, Split King
Type: Memory foam
Firmness: Medium-firm
+ Near-perfect pressure relief
+ Excellent motion isolation
- Less suitable for hot sleepers
This is the Nectar mattress that started our obsession. If you suffer from aches and pains in your neck, back, or shoulders, this one's for you. One of our expert testers, Casey, suffers from fibromyalgia, a chronic pain condition that extends all over her body. 'I used to lie awake for hours, unable to get comfortable, until I started testing the Nectar Memory Foam Mattress,' says Casey. 'It's filled with high-density foam to bear my weight and topped with low-density foam to absorb pressure from my joints.' The Nectar Memory Foam Mattress strikes a careful balance between comfort and support to suit all sleep positions. Like any memory foam mattress, it tends to trap heat, and the edge support could be better, but the motion isolation is excellent. I'd recommend this mattress for light sleepers, couples, and anybody who suffers from aches and pains.

Sizes: Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, California King, Split King
Type: Hybrid
Firmness: Medium-firm
+ Great for back pain
+ Dual-action cooling
- Unpleasant smell of off-gassing
'When it comes to cooling, the Nectar Premier Hybrid Mattress is a cut above the basic model,' says expert tester Millie Hurst. She puts it down to the supportive steel coils, which push hot air down and out of the bed with each compression. I'd recommend the Nectar Premier Hybrid Mattress for hot sleepers and summer nights. Millie says that 'the edge support is also a marked improvement: I could comfortably sit on the side of the bed without slipping straight off the sides. This enhanced performance is reflected in the price: the hybrid is several hundred dollars more expensive in every size.' Millie's only major complaint concerns the unboxing process. The Nectar Premier Hybrid Mattress proved heavy and awkward to maneuver once inflated to full-size, and the smell of the mattress off-gassing took a good few hours to dissipate.

When to shop for Nectar deals
There's an old adage that mattresses are always on sale. True enough, I've never seen a Nectar mattress selling at full price. Whether it's a flash sale for Daylight Savings or a deep discount for Black Friday, you can always save money when you shop with Nectar. Here's all you need to know about the best time to buy a mattress at the lowest possible price.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday Nectar deals
Nectar usually knocks another $50 or (occasionally) $100 off their discounted price to create their Black Friday deals. This means you get to save a little extra if you happen to shop over the holiday weekend.
In my experience, Nectar prices stay pretty static from the middle of November onwards, so I wouldn't worry about setting your alarm to bag a bargain.
After-Christmas Nectar deals
If you don't manage to bag a Nectar mattress over Black Friday, you should still be able to pick up a discount in the after-Christmas sales. The price might not be quite as good as it was over Black Friday, but the difference is negligible: there might be $50 or $100 in it.
Federal holiday Nectar deals
As a general rule, the best time to buy a mattress is over a holiday weekend. Nectar always makes a big deal out of Memorial Day and Labor Day, using them as end-of-season sales to clear out old stock. I often see Early Access sales in the week preceding a holiday weekend and a Last Call sale over the week after.
Amazon Prime Day Nectar deals
The Amazon Nectar Sleep storefront runs regular discounts across their range of mattresses, bed frames, and headboards. As I toggle between Amazon and Nectar in search of the best deals, the prices are often pretty similar. Still, you can make the most of the flash sales if you're quick off the mark. I caught an additional $50 off the Nectar Classic Foam Mattress on Amazon over October Prime Day.
How we source the best Nectar deals
To compile this Nectar deals page, I've consulted my expert team of mattress testers to learn more about their long-term testing experience. Where I haven't been able to get my hands on a Nectar mattress, I've scoured the specifications and read countless customer reviews to give you an accurate indication of how the mattress feels and who it suits.
I've spent hours shopping the Nectar site to bring you up-to-date information on pricing. As an eCommerce Editor, I like a good bargain, but I'll never sacrifice quality for cost. Wherever possible. I include links to our full-length mattress reviews to help you learn more about a particular product.
FAQs
Why are Nectar mattresses so cheap?
Part of the reason why Nectar mattresses are so cheap is that some of their materials are sourced from overseas. If you're looking for a mattress that's made in the USA, you'd be better off shopping somewhere like Saatva, though you should prepare to spend more money. When you're buying American-made, the manufacturing costs are driven up by labor costs, which in turn are driven up by living costs.
The other reason why Nectar mattresses are so cheap is that they're filled with synthetic substances, which are cheaper to produce than natural fibers are to source. If you're looking for the best organic mattress, you won't find it at Nectar.
How is a Nectar mattress shipped?
Nectar is a box mattress brand. This means that a Nectar mattress comes wrapped in plastic, vacuum-packed and compressed into carboard boxes, and delivered to your door. Once you open the box and cut the plastic, your mattress will start to inflate to full size. I find it takes at least a few hours for a new Nectar mattress to reach its full height.
As you unbox your new Nectar mattress, you might notice a chemical sort of smell emanating from the foam. That's the smell of the mattress off-gassing as it inflates. Although the smell is typical for a box mattress, it is unpleasant. I recommend you leave your mattress for at least 24 hours before you try to sleep on it. To get rid of the smell, I suggest you close the door, open a window and switch on a fan or air purifier.
Which Nectar mattress is best for side sleepers?
The Nectar Premier Hybrid Mattress is best for side sleepers. You'll get the same solid support that you find in the Classic Foam with a bit more give to cushion your hips, knees, neck, and shoulders, and far superior edge support.
I think the Nectar Classic Foam Mattress is the best affordable mattress on the market, and its performance outpaces its price. If you can bag it at a bargain price in the mattress sales, you'll save yourself another couple hundred dollars to spend on bedding or a new bed base. Here's a bonus: you get free shipping and returns on any Nectar mattress.
To get a better understanding of what it might be like to sleep on a Nectar mattress, I suggest you read the customer reviews. Don't focus too much on star ratings: you want to read the anecdotal evidence of long-term, at-home testing. Take a trip to any of the 4,000 Nectar mattress showrooms across the country to sample their beds yourself. It's worth learning how to test a mattress before you go.
If you're still not sold on Nectar, but you know you need a new mattress, I suggest you expand your search to other brands. Saatva makes some of America's best-selling beds, including our best mattress of all time, the Saatva Classic. Sure, these mattresses are more expensive than your average Nectar mattress, but you could save hundreds of dollars with the best Saatva mattress deals.
