A dad can be many things, but for some he's the joke teller of the family. There's a reason the term 'dad joke' was coined – it's usually something extremely corny that you can't help but laugh at, albeit most of the time from how bad it is.
With Father's Day coming up, many will be spending the day with their dads and father figures, and many of us will likely have to endure a 'dad joke' or two.
So in honour of Father's Day, which takes place this Sunday, June 18, Amazon employees have revealed their best (worst) dad jokes in a hilarious video filmed at its UK fulfilment centres.
Some of their absolute favourite dad jokes, which you can use to make your family laugh this Sunday, include:
"My wife told me to stop singing Wonderwall to her … I SAID MAYBE"
"What did the janitor say when he walked into the cupboard? Supplies!"
The behind-the-scenes videos were filmed across four Amazon UK Fulfilment Centres, with employees revealing their most cringey dad jokes.
Joe, who works with his father Barry at Amazon's Bolton fulfilment centre, shared his favourite joke:
"Why are pirates called pirates? Cos they arrrr." (Dad Barry boasted "that’s one of mine!")
Meanwhile, Peter from Lanarkshire, loves this one: "What do you get if you sit under a cow? A pat on the head."
For Yannic, the best dad joke is one of the classics: "Do you know why dads take an extra pair of socks to golf? In case they get a hole in one."
The video series comes as a poll of 3,000 Amazon employees in Britain voted Scotland as the Bad Dad Joke Capital, with more people there (20%) saying their dad tells the best 'bad jokes'.
Meanwhile, the same poll found that the North East is the King of the Dad Dance, with more people in the region ranking dad dancing as the number one thing their dads did best, higher than any other region (14%).
