Berlin is the Money Heist spin-off you've been waiting for, but it's not set in the city

Berlin Netflix
Berlin Money Heist

One of my favorite bits of Netflix Tudum 2023 – and one of the coolest new TV shows announcements from the event – was the trailer for Berlin, the second spin-off from the superbly stylish and enjoyably silly crime thriller Money Heist. But the title's a little misleading because the city isn't where the heist is going to happen – Berlin is the person who's going to make it happen.

Berlin, played by the wonderful Andrés de Fonollosa, was a key character way back in season one of the original Money Heist and continued to be in Money Heist season 5, making him one of the most popular characters for viewers.
