ISRAEL'S former domestic intelligence chief has launched a defamation lawsuit against Benjamin Netanyahu, accusing him of spreading a "blood libel" to shift responsibility for the security failures surrounding the October 7 attacks.

Ronen Bar, the former head of Israel's Shin Bet security service, filed the lawsuit at Tel Aviv District Court on Wednesday, seeking three million shekels (more than £700,000) in damages.
