NEW DELHI: A group of unknown people threw black ink at Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait while he was attending an event in Bengaluru on Monday.
High Grounds police station said three persons have been detained in connection with the incident.
The BKU leader accused the state government of not providing him security at the venue.
"We were doing a press conference when some people came and started hitting us with the mics that were present there. It's Karnataka govt and police's failure. It was a conspiracy and needs to be investigated", said the BKU leader.
"No security has been provided by local police here. This has been done in collusion with the govt", he added.
