Bengaluru: ATREE scientists develop cricket cookies, say insect-eating may address food shortage

BENGALURU: Arguing that humans have been historically entomophagous, a team from Ashoka Trust For Research In Ecology And The Environment (ATREE) has developed chocolate chip cookies mixed with crickets for human consumption.

The scientists' intention is to normalise the practice of insect-eating as their studies project food security will be a major global challenge in future.
