BENGALURU: Two brothers have been arrested by Doddaballapur Rural police for allegedly murdering a 65-year-old woman during a fight at Chikkamuddenahalli village on Friday.
Police identified the deceased as Gangamma. Her son Vijayakumar sustained minor injuries in the attack. The accused are Sudhakar, 23, and his elder brother Maruthi. Preliminary probe revealed that Sudhakar and his family members used to take sub-contract for government projects in his village. They came to know that Vijayakumar was going around alleging that the family was guilty of committing irregularities in works under MGNREGA.
