In a surprising twist to free agency for the Cincinnati Bengals, the team has yet to make a splash on the open market at the tight end position.
Going into free agency, it certainly felt like the Bengals would address the position early and likely hit it early in the draft too. After all, Hayden Hurst, Drew Sample and Mitchell Wilcox were all free agents.
A little more than a week into free agency, Hurst has signed with the Carolina Panthers, while Sample and Wilcox remain free agents.
While it feels like the Bengals missed a shot to find a true No. 1 tight end, the market still offers plenty of choices, including the team’s own two. The following guys are available and could be solutions when potentially paired with a rookie from the draft.
