Bengals star Tee Higgins dazzled NFL fans with clutch touchdown against the Vikings on Saturday, an unbelievable play that apparently even the wide receiver himself couldn’t believe.
The Bengals’ 27–24 overtime win saw Higgins tie the game after stretching backwards to secure an unreal 21-yard touchdown grab over Vikings cornerback Akayleb Evans with 39 seconds left in regulation.
When asked to break down the sequence after the game, Higgins, perhaps still in disbelief, kept it candid when explaining his thought process in the moment.
“I knew I caught it around the [1-yard line] so, I just, took a wild guess and just reached back and I looked up at the ref and he had his arms up,” Higgins said.
As it turned out, Higgins’s “wild guess” prove to be the correct one to propel Cincinnati to victory. And, with the win preserving the club’s playoff hopes, likely no one could be happier about the wideout’s heroics than Higgins himself after scoring for the first time since Week 2.
“Oh my god, bro, that s--- felt good,” said Higgins with a smile. “Felt good to get back in that box, man. It’s been a long time.”

Outside of Saturday’s sensational highlight, Higgins’s Week 15 effort will end up going down as one of his best of 2023, as he finished with four catches for 61 yards and two receiving scores.
