Cincinnati Bengals defensive end Trey Hendrickson suffered a hyperextended knee during the team’s loss to the Houston Texans.
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Bengals and Hendrickson hope the star pass-rusher won’t miss a lot of time with an issue.
Hendrickson was seen getting an MRI in the locker room after suffering the injury late in the game against the Texans.
The Bengals play the Baltmore Ravens on Thursday, a short-week turnaround to a primetime game against an AFC North rival. Presumably, this will hold him out of that game, though Hendrickson is the guy who played through a broken wrist last season.
If and when Hendrickson misses time, the Bengals will need Joseph Ossai and first-rounder Myles Murphy to step up big.
