Bengals’ Chidobe Awuzie falls in Blitzchamps II chess finals

The Cincinnati Bengals were on the losing end of their most recent match against the Kansas City Chiefs, a rivalry that has developed over the past few years, and now they are getting the better of the Bengals off the field as well.

Chidobe Awuzie made it to the finals of Blitzchamps II, a chess tournament, but lost to Drue Tranquill, a linebacker from the Chiefs.

Awuzie earned $20,000 for the Awuzie Kick Step Foundation from the tournament after taking down Arizona Cardinals QB Kyler Murray and NFL legend Larry Fitzgerald in earlier rounds of the tournament.

In 2022, Awuzie won the first Blitzchamps tournament, taking down Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper in the finals and earning $25,000 for his charity.
