Ben White not spotted in Arsenal training as six youngsters are called up ahead of Leeds clash

Arsenal's preparations for Sunday's Premier League encounter with Leeds United are complete, with Mikel Arteta and his coaching staff putting the players through their paces in training.

The Gunners go into the game looking to make it four straight wins to boost their chances of qualifying for next season's Champions League. Still, they will face a United side just as desperate for three points in their quest to avoid relegation back to the Championship.

Victory over the Whites - a third of the season across all competitions - will ensure Arsenal finish the weekend in fourth place regardless of what happens in the late kick-off on Saturday between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield.

Before the big Premier League game, Mikel Arteta and his coaching staff oversaw one last training session at London Colney on Saturday afternoon, and there was media footage released to get fans in the mood. Here's what we spotted from the training pictures and what it tells us ahead of the game against Leeds United.

Well, the big news surrounds Benjamin White. The England international missed last weekend's 2-1 win over West Ham United with a hamstring injury but appeared to be in line for an immediate recall on the one condition that he took part in Saturday's session, as explained by Arteta during his pre-match press conference.

"Ben White is still in contention," the Spaniard revealed. "He needs to train tomorrow. For the rest, no news. Everyone should be ok."

However, there might be some cause for concern regarding White as he was not spotted in any of the training pictures, which may suggest he won't be in contention to face his former club after all.

The good news for Arsenal, judging by the images and social media activity, is that almost every single first-team player trained ahead of the Leeds game. This includes Aaron Ramsdale, Bernd Leno, Arthur Okonkwo, Cedric Soares, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Gabriel Magalhaes, Rob Holding, Nuno Tavares, Mohamed Elneny, Martin Odegaard, Granit Xhaka, Albert Sambi Lokonga, Emile Smith Rowe, Bukayo Saka, Lacazette, Gabriel Martinelli, Eddie Nketiah and Nicolas Pepe.

Unsurprisingly, long-term absentees Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey were not involved in the session, whilst Zak Swanson, Salah-Eddine, Charlie Patino, Omari Hutchinson, Marcelo Flores and Jonathan Dinzeyi were the six youngsters called up by Arteta to take part.
