Ben Shephard was quick to jokingly scold his Good Morning Britain co-star when she went missing mid-show. The presenter was back at the helm of the ITV news programme on Friday (February 3) alongside Kate Garraway.
While the pair were back in the show's London-based studio, Laura had headed off out and about and was bringing her latest weather reports live from Kew Gardens. But as we all know, live TV can often go wrong and things appeared to go awry during the latest broadcast.
Kate and Ben had thrown to Laura ready for viewers to find out what the weather would be like across the UK today. However, the hosting duo realised something had gone wrong. "Oh Laura’s disappeared. She's got lost among the orchids," 54-year-old Kate remarked.

But co-star Ben said: "She's got one job, Laura. Was she stuck in the undergrowth?" Both of them appeared baffled by Laura's no-show on the ITV programme as they tried to fill the time that would have been used for the weather report. Ben went on to say: "I don't know, she’s been rummaging around. She does love Kew, she’s gone off for a forage."
Kate then asked: “Has anybody found her? Is she there?" Before saying: "Oh, we’re going to Richard [Arnold - the GMB's showbiz editor] for the weather. Richard you’re going to pick us up for the weather."
Taking his spot, Richard said: "I can promise you a warm front with damp patches as we look forward to this weekend’s television." After an ad break, Richard returned with his usual entertainment segment theories which included theories on what would happen in the finale of Happy Valley airing this weekend.
But GMB later managed to get back in touch with Laura in Kew with the meteorologist explaining she hadn't just failed to show up but that they suffered technical issues.
