The highly-anticipated sequel to the 2016 crime film 'The Accountant,' starring Ben Affleck, has found a new home at Amazon MGM Studios as it prepares to begin production later this month. The follow-up thriller, which was previously in development at Warner Bros., has made the move to the streaming platform after years of anticipation.
The project, which has been a priority since the HBO Max era, is already in the advanced stages of casting, with familiar faces such as J.K. Simmons, Jon Bernthal, and Cynthia Addai-Robinson set to reprise their roles from the original film. Director Gavin O'Connor and writer Bill Dubuque, who were behind the success of the first installment, are also returning for the sequel.
