Hollywood A-listers Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are set to host a three-day bash to celebrate their wedding last month.
The pair tied the knot in a surprise low-key ceremony at a chapel in Las Vegas on July 17, but it's reported they will now throw their doors wide open for family and close friends at Affleck’s Riceboro home in Georgia, an hour outside Savannah, this weekend (August 19-21).
On their quick-fire wedding, Lopez said at the time: "Ultimately it was the absolute best marriage ceremony we might have imagined. One we dreamed of way back and one made actual (within the eyes of the state, Las Vegas, a pink convertible and each other) at very, very lengthy final.”
An insider told Page Six: "It’s going to be all about J.Lo. Ben wants all of the focus to be on her for their big day."
The 87-acre property was where they were supposed to get married 20 years ago when they were first engaged – everything was supposedly in place for their big day back then, before they decided to call off the engagement a couple of years later.
There will be a rehearsal dinner on the Friday, according to a source, followed by a ceremony on Saturday, with a barbecue and picnic on the Sunday.
Among the guests are said to be Matt Damon, Affleck’s best buddy, comedian Jimmy Kimmel and Sopranos actress Drea de Matteo.
Affleck, who has three children – Violet, Seraphina and Samuel – with previous wife Jennifer Garner, turned 50 on August 15, just a few weeks after Lopez – who has twin boys with third husband Marc Anthony – welcomed in her 53rd birthday.
The pair flew to Paris to celebrate her big day, which also doubled up as a romantic honeymoon and family holiday.
A source told Harpers Bazaar: “They went to the most popular restaurants and really had the time of their lives. It was so nice being away together with their kids and just eat, relax, celebrate Jen's birthday and have some time off from work. Jen and Ben both love Paris, and Jen especially finds it to be so romantic.”
