Below-Average Rain in Brazil Boosts Coffee Prices

March arabica coffee (KCH26) today is up +1.05 (+0.30%).  March ICE robusta coffee (RMH26) is up +17 (+0.44%).

Coffee prices climbed to 1.5-week highs today as below-average rainfall in Brazil has heightened concerns about the coffee crop.  Somar Meteorologia reported today that Brazil's largest arabica coffee-growing area, Minas Gerais, received 11.1 mm of rain during the week ended December 26, or 17% of the historical average.
