Beloved dog has to be put down after being stung by 'Britain's most dangerous plant'

A dog tragically died when she was stung by 'Britain's most dangerous plant' after going for a walk in a local park.

Stuart Good, 61, took his dog Ella for a leisurely stroll in Port Sunlight River Park, Liverpool with his friend Clive Ransom, 49, last month when he suddenly heard her yelp out in pain.

Ella ran out of the undergrowth but it wasn't until he got home that Stuart spotted a blister "the size of a pound coin" under the Staffordshire Bull Terrier's leg which continued to double in size, Liverpool Echo reported.
