Mohammed Oumaarir has won the Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon.
The Moroccan crossed the line at Ormeau Park in 2:22:56, coming in just ahead of Wales’ Adam Bowden who finished in 2:23:26.
Pre race favourite Bernard Rotich came in in 2:26:02 after being left behind by Oumaarir shortly before the Lagan Towpath at Ormeau.
Former Irish Olympic walker Colin Griffin was fourth in and the first Irish runner. He managed just over 2:26 - behind his PB of 2 hrs 23 mins. Fifth was M45 runner Gary O’Hanlon in 2:30:15.
Shewaye Woldemeskel from Ethiopia was the first lady in a time of 2:37 while local runner Gladys Ganiel was second lady at 2:41:22.
