The Belfast City Marathon first launched in 1982 and was the first event of its kind in the city.
Now, as the race moves into its 40th year we’re looking to hear all your great stories and memories from the last 40 years.
Do you have an interesting Belfast marathon story? We want to hear from anyone who has ran the marathon consecutively for a number of years or anyone who has completed the race many times and has now passed the baton on to another family member. Could you be the oldest male or female taking part this year? Whatever your story we would love to hear it.
We would also love to see any old photos you might have from the marathon. from through the years.
Simply tell us your story or submit your old photos in the form below. We'll feature them on Belfast Live over the coming weeks as we look forward to race day on 1st May.
