A new £8.5 million athletics ground is nearing completion.
The finish line is in sight for the Riverside Sports Arena at Craigie in Ayr.
Stunning pictures released by South Ayrshire Council have shown the state-of-the-art complex.
The facility will feature indoor and outdoor space for athletics with an eight-lane 400m running track, a six-lane 60m indoor running track; and a field events area all set to feature.
When opened the arena will also feature a 3G all-weather pitch alongside fully accessible changing areas, reception, a café and social area.
Local sports clubs are set to reap the benefits, with the next generation of sports stars set to take to the hub.
The latest images give a behind the scenes look at the facility.
A council spokesperson said: "Work is almost complete at the brand-new facility, just beside Ayr Academy.
"The arena features some of the best sporting facilities around, with an eight-lane, 400m running track; a six-lane, 60m indoor running track; and a field events area.
"The arena also boasts a 3G all-weather pitch, alongside fully accessible changing areas, reception and social area."
Ayr Seaforth Athletics Club, Ayr Rugby Club, Ayr United Football Academy, University of the West of Scotland, Scottish Rowing, Scottish Athletics, Ayrshire College and Sports Scotland were invited to view the progress of the facility in August.
At the time, Councillor Martin Kilbride – the buildings, housing and environment portfolio holder at South Ayrshire Council – said: “It was fantastic to get a tour of the facility. It’s really taking shape.
“There was a buzz of excitement from those in attendance, many of whom were heavily involved in planning the facility.
“I have no doubt it will exceed all their expectations when it’s finished later this year.”
