A recently-opened family-run restaurant in Bedminster has been included in a top food guide. Michelin took a look at COR in North Street and liked what it saw.
The prestigious guide states: "Its look is somewhere between a Mediterranean restaurant and a tapas bar, with some counter dining and shelves bursting with cookery books and wine but, more importantly, it's imbued with an air of contagious positivity and is a perfect fit for this buzzy neighbourhood.
"Dishes like hake with mussels or tropea onion with hazelnut beurre noisette really hit the spot - and the charcuterie and cheeses are also good."

COR aims to bring inclusivity back into high quality cookery. It focuses on several cuisines with Mediterranean influence. Restaurant owner Mark Chapman was born and raised in Australia, where he trained and worked in fine dining restaurants across the county. He jumped into the Bristol food scene on moving to the UK in top venues like the Bath Priory and then worked with Season and Taste - owners of Gambas, Bravas, Cargo Cantina and Baker & Co - as an executive chef for six years.
COR is the first business of his own. It is something he has wanted to do nice he first started as a chef at 16 years old.
Mark told Bristol Live: "On a personal level, we are absolutely thrilled that COR has been been recognised by and included in the Michelin guide. It’s the greatest food guide in the world and to be recognised with this honour is something I've dreamed of since becoming an apprentice chef in Australia.
"And for the team. We are so proud of them and they are extremely happy also. A lot of the team we have with us now have worked with me previous to COR and been with us since opening. Their hard work, passion and dedication is rewarded when accolades like this are given. We could not be more proud of them professionally and as a hospitality family.
"COR has only been open four months and we have already had an incredible journey so far. We are looking forward to continue to learn, develop and grow this new adventure together."
