Beautiful immersive yoga launching in the RDS next week

Immersive yoga is coming to Dublin's RDS this International Yoga Day (Tuesday, June 21).

The Irish team behind Van Gogh Dublin RDS are using their same advanced tech capabilities, developed for the hit immersive art show, to launch this exceptionally unique yoga experience which will run from June 21 until July 30.

This will be a multi-sensory 360 experience by Irish yoga star Yoga with Maura.

Van Gogh Dublin opened last month in the RDS and received fantastic reviews, fully immersing the audience in Van Gogh's life and work by bringing his most famous paintings to life. His iconic works were projected onto all four walls and the floor in the massive square room, accompanied by audio that brings it to another imaginative level.

Keeping in line with that immersive element, a completely digital wellness studio will be created for yoga enthusiasts who can enjoy a session surrounded by moving rainforests, cascading waterfalls, an alive starry night and much more.

The experience is a first for Ireland and guests are promised a treat for the sense and a dose of ultra relaxation while being transported to tranquil settings around the world.

Maura has closely collaborated with Van Gogh Dublin RDS to curate an all-encompassing yoga experience.

She said of the new experience: "The illuminating space will enable you to disconnect or escape from the sometimes frenetic pace of life. Each session explores chapters to awaken and nurture the senses, with my yoga instruction carefully planned to coordinate with the incredible surroundings of this unique experience.

"The most notable for avid yogis will be the chakra chapter, where you’re guided through each energy centre or ‘chakra’ complemented by exquisite colour-themed, ambient, awe-inspiring visuals all around you."

Co-founder of Van Gogh Dublin Daniel Gleeson added: "Our 360 sensory approach with magnificent, moving and evolving imagery, from tranquil rainforests to majestic mountain ranges, will make for a truly memorable experience."

People of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to the sessions. Tickets available now at vangoghdublin.ie/immersiveyoga from €24.66. Session times are also listed there.
