'Beautiful' baby boy died after swallowing button battery

A 'beautiful' baby boy died after swallowing a common household item that 'burnt a hole in his heart'.

Hugh McMahon, one, ate a button battery from a VTech Swing & Sing monkey teddy at the end of 2021.

The baby boy's parents, Christine McDonald, 32, and Hugh McMahon, 29, said he ate the battery and he was rushed to hospital as soon as they realised.
