Bears tight end Cole Kmet was limited in practice for the second-straight day Thursday because of a hamstring injury. But he said he’ll be fine to face the Vikings on Sunday.
“I’ll be good, I’ll be rolling,” he said.
Kmet said he didn’t have a “traditional” hamstring injury. Rather, it was one of many parts of his body that hurt after playing twice in five days last week.
“I was feeling like crap after the game Thursday,” he said. “I played over 120 snaps in five days, so that beats you up pretty good. I wasn’t feeling really honestly great.
“Monday, I was starting to feel a little bit better, just my whole body.”
Kmet has surged along with the Bears’ passing attack the last two weeks, totaling 12 catches on 14 targets for 127 yards and three touchdowns. He has more touchdowns this season than he did in his first two years combined.
“It’s nice just to hit a stick route for eight yards and it’s second-and-2 … ” he said. “Those are the plays we weren’t having those first three weeks that we’re starting to pile up a little bit more. It just opens up a lot.”
