There are high expectations for the Chicago Bears on offense heading into the 2023 season, where they’ve got a slew of weapons and their potential franchise quarterback at the helm.
ESPN’s Field Yates shared his top 100 fantasy football rankings, and there were two Bears players who made the list: quarterback Justin Fields and wide receiver DJ Moore.
Here’s a look at where Fields and Moore ranked among the initial top 100 and their respective positions:
QB Justin Fields
Overall rank: 56th
Position rank: 6th
Justin Fields emerged as one of the top quarterbacks in fantasy football last season due to his breakout rushing ability. He rushed for 1,143 yards (7.1 yards per carry) and eight touchdowns, as well as passed for 2,242 yards with 17 touchdowns. With an upgraded supporting cast, including DJ Moore, and improved protection, Fields is poised to make a huge leap in 2023, which should bode well for his fantasy value.
WR DJ Moore
Overall rank: 66th
Position rank: 28th
After three consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, DJ Moore had a bit of a down year in 2022. He totaled 63 catches for 888 yards and a career-high seven touchdowns. But given he’s had inconsistent quarterback play since he joined the league, the belief is his production can skyrocket with Justin Fields throwing him the ball. Moore will be Fields’ top option in the passing game and should be a real threat for opposing defenses.
