You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more dedicated duo this NFL offseason than Bears quarterback Justin Fields and wide receiver Darnell Mooney, who have been training throughout the offseason.
Fields and Mooney flashed the beginning of what can become a special connection on the field last season, and they’ve been working on strengthening that connection during this offseason.
The pair of young rising stars have been training together on multiple occasions this offseason, where they started as early as the day after the end of the 2021 season. Fields and Mooney are back in Atlanta training together ahead of the start of Chicago’s offseason program, which kicks off April 4.

Mooney will be one of Fields’ top targets next season, but there will be plenty of new faces in the wide receiver room this year. The Bears have already added Byron Pringle and Equanimeous St. Brown in free agency, and Ryan Poles is likely to add another playmaker at wide receiver in the NFL draft.
Still, it’s the Fields-Mooney connection that has people buzzing heading into the 2022 season.
